1 cup of cake flour, sifted
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups egg whites
1 1/2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon almond extract

Preheat oven to 375 degrees and wash angelic showers cake pan (bunt cake pan) until it is grease free. Let dry completely.

Sift flour and 3/4 cup powdered sugar together three times and set aside.
In mixing bowl, beat egg whites and salt on high until foamy. Then add cream of tartar, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and almond flavoring and beat until soft peaks form.

Gradually add 1 cup white sugar, continuing to beat until peaks become. Sift about 1/4 of the flour mixture over the egg whites and quickly and gently fold into egg whites. Repeat using a 1/4 of the flour mixture each time.

Pour batter into the cake pan and cut through batter with knife to remove air pockets. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes. The angelic bridal showers cake will be done when an inserted wooden pick comes out clean. When done, invert pan onto a wire rack to cool for 1 hour.
